Bishop Auckland
Bishop Auckland is regarded as a market town and also civil parish in County Durham in north east England. Throughout the Industrial Revolution, the town expanded swiftly because coal mining took hold as being an important business. The following decline of the coal mining industry in the late twentieth century is held responsible for a drop in the town's fortunes in various other sectors.
