Trimdon Station
Trimdon (population 2,958) is a village in County Durham, in England (earlier Tremeldon (1196) or Tremedon (1262 )). It is 9 miles west of Hartlepool, and adjacent to Trimdon Colliery, Trimdon Grange as well as Deaf Hill (likewise known as Trimdon Station). Locally, to identify it from these it is called Trimdon Village or merely "The Village". The primary prime focus of "The Town" is Saint Mary Magdalene church, which was built during the Norman period (about 1145AD). Trimdon Labour Club (currently shut) was the setup for several of the former prime minister as well as constituency MP, Tony Blair's constituency speeches. Blair's neighborhood residence remained in nearby Trimdon Colliery.
