Stirling
The city of Sterling boasts a population of 45,750 and it's developed close to a big fortress and medieval old town, beside the River Forth. Stirling is Scotland's smallest city and was only approved city status in 2002 to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee. The city has changed significantly over 1000's of years, originally being a Stone Age settlement.
