Belvedere
Belvedere is a town of south east London, England within the London Borough of Bexley. It is located south east of Thamesmead and is found around 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Charing Cross. Belvedere was in Kent, and still features a Kent postcode. It was part of the Municipal Borough of Erith prior to 1965 and improvement work occurred prior to the Second World War, with considerable reconstruction work after the Blitz. Regardless of this, Upper Belvedere as well as the Village still retains a significant amount of its Victorian and Edwardian charm and character. Upper Belvedere contains a church and numerous Victorian and Edwardian brick villas. It includes a number of regular pubs, restaurants and retail outlets. These include The Eardley Arms on Woolwich Road, The Vic on Victoria Street, The Royal Standard in the centre of the village and also the Fox in Belvedere village. Upper Belvedere is also home to a big park and a library that was under threat of getting closed due to the government's cuts. Luckily this danger has been stopped as a result with the efforts in the local neighbourhood. A new 'Splash Park', which opened in 2005, was a popular addition to the village, having been created on the location of the old Victorian paddling pool. The splash park preserves parts of the historic paddling pool buildings. Between 1898 and 1961, Callender's Cable Works, at the Erith Works, was patron to Callender's Cableworks Band, an amateur brass band made up of employees from the business. The band was a successful broadcaster on BBC Radio in the 1920s and 1930s. For all of your home upgrades, make sure that you employ trustworthy specialists in Belvedere to ensure you get the top quality service.
