Helston is a town and civil parish in Cornwall, England in the UK. It is set at the northern edge of the Lizard Peninsula about 12 miles (19 kilometres) east of Penzance and 9 miles (14 kilometres) south-west of Falmouth. Helston is the most southerly town on the island of Great Britain and is around 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometres) further south than Penzance. For timber boards, you need to make sure you leave an expansion gap of 5-8mm. These steps should give you an idea of whether you want to have a go at building decking on a slope, or whether you want to leave it to the pros.
