Fencing is essential for both domestic and industrial properties for several reasons. It provides a boundary for home gardens and private land, serving as a measure of privacy as well as to keep people and animals in or out.

Features of wooden fencing include extra property protection and aesthetic appeal. By having a fence in place, it becomes harder for burglars to reach your home and garden. Make certain to pick out a design which will look fantastic as well, especially if for property purposes.

Helston

Helston is a town and civil parish in Cornwall, England in the UK. It is positioned at the northern edge of the Lizard Peninsula approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of Penzance and 9 miles (14 kilometres) south-west of Falmouth. Helston is the most southerly town on the island of Great Britain and is around 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometres) further south than Penzance. Helston is situated along the shores of the River Cober in Cornwall. Downstream is Cornwall's largest natural lake Loe Pool, formed when a shingle bar obstructed the mouth of the river by increasing sea levels forming a barrier beach. To the south is the Lizard Peninsula, an area valuable for its complicated geology and wildlife environments. The town is one of the mildest places in the country and frosts are hardly ever severe. The population in 2011 was 11700. Residents are able to take part in a number of annual events that occur at different points through the year. The former stannary and cattle market town is best known for the yearly Furry Dance, known in the area as the Flora Dance, believed to originate from the medieval period. Nonetheless, the Hal-an-Tow is deemed to be of Celtic origin. The song, and music, related to the Furry Dance is known to have been written in 1911. In 2001, the town honored the 800th anniversary of the awarding of its Charter. The town also has an active sporting scene, with Helston RFC, Helston Athletic FC and Helston Cricket Club all having prominent roles within the community. The Swallows Gymnastics Club is also extremely popular within the area. For all your home makeovers, be sure to identify trustworthy experts in Helston to make certain of quality.

FAQs

How do I find out who owns a fence?

Speaking to the owners of the neighbouring properties is recommended. If you are still unsure, you may need to check the original deeds to the property. Generally the rule is that you are responsible for the fence at the right hand side of your property.

How to build a fence?

The best way to build a fence depends on what style it is, as different types have different components. However, fencing made up of posts and panels is pretty common. To put this up, you’ll need to start by measuring out and digging holes for your fence posts. Then you’ll need to fit the panels between them and use concrete to secure the posts in the ground.

Can I attach something to my neighbour’s fence?

There are a number of reasons why disputes can arise between neighbours – all of which can be quite frustrating and challenging. In some cases, this can even cause serious friction and lead to an all-out war. When it comes to the topic of fencing, one of the most common questions that arises is whether or not you can attach something to your neighbour’s fence. If you’re having the same concern, then you’ve come to the right place. In this post, we’re going to give you a good insight into this to help you make informed decisions moving forward. Let’s take a look!

The short and simple answer to this question is no, you can’t attach anything to your neighbour’s fence. If your neighbour owns the fence and you’ve not obtained any permission to do so, then you’re not allowed to attach anything to the fence. Otherwise, you can get into serious trouble with your neighbour as well as the law. If you want to attach something or have the wall on your side painted using another colour, then there’s the need to get a permission from the owner. And while doing so, make sure you’re provided with a written permission so as to avoid problems later in the future.

Another question that mostly arises is what if your neighbour declines your request, is there anything you can do about it? Well, the answer to this is no, there’s nothing you can do about it unless you’re able to convince your neighbour otherwise. And you should know starting a neighbour war or being spiteful can only make matters worse for you.

How to tell which fence is yours?

If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.
