Renovating floors can entail an array of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing floors. The sort of restoration work will depend on the form of the pre-existing floor. In older houses with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will probably entail repair and cleaning of the present floor as it will likely be a desirable attribute of the property. In modern properties with carpet or real wood floors, restoration is more likely to require totally exchanging the current floors, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden flooring, the process of renovation typically consists of sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile flooring can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles swapped, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will typically require replacing the carpet. Specialised floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best method to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools are often necessary for repairing or replacing flooring.
The typical cost of Flooring renovation is £600. Costs alter based upon the materials and the business selected. The upper price range can be as high as £690. The material costs are ordinarily around £150

Bankside is a district in the London Borough of Southwark. It is positioned around the southern bank of the River Thames, 1.5 miles east of Charing Cross. It is part of the business improvement district referred to as Better Bankside.
Bankside is the riverside of the former liberties of the Clink and Paris Garden. During the Elizabethan period, these places were out of the City of London’s jurisdiction so they became the homes of bear baiting pits and playhouses, including the Rose, the Swan and the Globe Theatre. There has been a lot of regeneration in recent years, becoming well known with tourists. The skyline of Bankside is accentuated by the former Bankside Power Station, which is now the Tate Modern.
The Bankside 1/2/3 complex on Southwark Street is the most important new development in the district. The three buildings house about 5,000 employees. Bankside 1 is also called the Blue Fin Building and it's partially occupied by IPC Media, whilst Bankside 2 and Three are occupied by the Omnicom Group Ltd.
From 2010, several improvement schemes have transformed Blackfriars Road from the bridge towards the south at St. George’s Circus and new buildings stand in place of post-World War II offices. These buildings are residential and hotel accommodation along its length, specifically at the junction with Stamford Street where numerous high rises have already been built.

One the several of the several benefits that comes with having a wooden floor installed is the fact that damaged surfaces can be repaired without the need to replace the floor in the whole room. This is not applicable to many other types of flooring whereby even the littlest damages are not reparable. Depending on the severity and depth of the wooden flooring damage, there are a number of techniques you can incorporate to repair the affected area. For examples, minor damages will not require as much effort as corner curling or cupping. In certain cases where the job requires no expertise, the repair process can be done by any individual with no prior experience in similar works. However, in other cases, when the wooden flooring has suffered a major damage, it’s advisable to call for a professional help.
First of all, it’s quite important to always watch out and prevent any sort of damages as this is way better than spending time trying to have the damaged surface repaired. One of the ways to prevent damages is by always lifting furniture rather than just dragging it across the floor when you need to move it. However, accidents are always meant to happen. In the case of damaged wooden flooring, here are some repair solutions.
When there are small scratches on your flooring, simply add a new coating of sealer to your floor (if the floor has already been oiled, just add another layer of oil). For lacquered floors, make use of a lacquer repair pen to help get rid of the scratches. In addition, there are some DIY shops offering wax filler sticks which can be used to hide or remove both light and medium scratches on wooden flooring.
