Refurb/refinishing of hardwood floor , room size 5x5 m
Renovating floors could require a wide range of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing flooring. The kind of restoration work will be based upon the type of the present flooring. In older buildings with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, restoration will generally require repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be an appealing element of the property. In modern properties with carpet or hardwood flooring, restoration is more likely to consist of completely changing the existing flooring, either like for like utilising a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden floors, the approach of restoration usually entails sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles swapped, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will frequently require replacing the carpet. Specialist floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old floors up to a high standard. Specialist tools might also be required for repairing or replacing flooring.
The typical cost of Flooring renovation is £600. Costs alter based upon the materials and the business selected. The upper price range can be as high as £690. The material costs are ordinarily around £150

Bellshill is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. It is located 10 miles south east of Glasgow city centre and 37 miles to the west of Edinburgh, in addition to being in close proximity to other towns including Motherwell, Hamilton and Coatbridge. Since 1996, it's been a part of the Greater Glasgow metropolitan area. With a population of approximately 20,000, a report by the Halifax Building Society indicated that early in 2005, the town was the UK's property prime location, seeing a rise in property prices by 46 per cent. This led to the typical house price in the area as being £105,698. It's believed that the town dates back to the 17th century, which initially contained a line of quarry workers' homes owned by Mr. Bell, the owner of a stone quarry towards the south of the town. The development of Bellshill, nonetheless, largely occurred soon after the quarry closing at the start of the 19th century. Improvement work has continued throughout the twentieth century. Most recently, the Streetscape Project, a scheme aiming to achieve the town's renovation and to modernise the the town centre, took place between 2007 and 2010, which designed a one way system around the main street and made the area significantly more friendly for pedestrians. Since the middle of the 1980s, the town has been recognised specifically for creating respected and influential popular music, with bands which include the Soup Dragons, BMX Bandits and Teenage Fanclub hailing from the town. A Channel 4 television series, 'Sounds of the Suburbs', celebrated the music of the area, commonly referred to as the 'Bellshill Sound' or the 'Bellshill Beat'. One the several of the several benefits that comes with having a wooden floor installed is the fact that damaged surfaces can be repaired without the need to replace the floor in the whole room. This is not applicable to many other types of flooring whereby even the littlest damages are not reparable. Depending on the severity and depth of the wooden flooring damage, there are a number of techniques you can incorporate to repair the affected area. For examples, minor damages will not require as much effort as corner curling or cupping. In certain cases where the job requires no expertise, the repair process can be done by any individual with no prior experience in similar works. However, in other cases, when the wooden flooring has suffered a major damage, it’s advisable to call for a professional help.
First of all, it’s quite important to always watch out and prevent any sort of damages as this is way better than spending time trying to have the damaged surface repaired. One of the ways to prevent damages is by always lifting furniture rather than just dragging it across the floor when you need to move it. However, accidents are always meant to happen. In the case of damaged wooden flooring, here are some repair solutions.
When there are small scratches on your flooring, simply add a new coating of sealer to your floor (if the floor has already been oiled, just add another layer of oil). For lacquered floors, make use of a lacquer repair pen to help get rid of the scratches. In addition, there are some DIY shops offering wax filler sticks which can be used to hide or remove both light and medium scratches on wooden flooring.
