Delabole
Delabole is a big village in north Cornwall, England, UK. It is situated approximately two miles (3 kilometres) west of Camelford. It is in the civil parish of St Teath. The town of Delabole originated in the very early 20th-century; it is called after the Delabole Quarry. 3 communities: Pengelly, Meadrose (pronounced "médroze") as well as Rockhead, and the district of Delabole south of the quarry are revealed on the earliest one-inch Ordnance Survey map of 1813. When the railway showed up, the station was called Delabole after the quarry, as well as the 3 districts were absorbed right into Delabole. It is said to be the 3rd highest town in Cornwall. Treligga military landing strip and HMS Vulture II, an airborne battle and also gunnery range, were positioned west of the village. Delabole lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
