If your garden has stumps in the earth, having them taken out could open up the space, presenting you with additional space to broaden your lawn size or create new areas to fit patio or decking. Specialist stump grinding companies can take out stumps of any scale.

The method generally involves slicing the stump as close to the ground as possible by using a chainsaw, and then employing specialised stump grinding equipment to grind away the stump. Stumps are ground down to approximately 10-12 inches under the dirt surface to allow replanting, however in some scenarios landscaping projects may require the stump to be removed deeper than this. The wood chipping that is created by the stump grinding may be either infilled back into the hole and used as mulch for other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company could remove it for you and dispose of it in an eco-friendly manner.
