If your back yard has stumps in the soil, removing them could open up the space, presenting you with added space that could be used to increase your lawn or provide fresh spaces to lay patio or decking. Specialist stump grinding companies can get rid of stumps of any scale.

The technique ordinarily comprises cutting the stump as low to the ground as possible using a chainsaw, and afterwards making use of specialised stump grinding equipment to grind away the stump. Stumps are ground down to roughly 10-12 inches beneath the soil surface to allow planting, although sometimes landscaping projects may need the stump to be ground deeper than this. The wood chipping that is produced by the stump grinding could be either infilled back into the hole and used as mulch in other areas of your garden, or the stump grinding company can remove it for you and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. In addition, lots of specialist stump grinding companies offer specialist thin equipment that could be used if there is limited access to your garden for example, via a side alleyway.
