Buckie
Buckie is a burgh town (specified as such in 1888) on the Moray Firth coast of Scotland. Historically in Banffshire, Buckie was the largest town in the county by some thousands of residents before 1975, when the administrative region was abolished. The town is the 3rd largest in the Moray council location after Elgin and Forres and within the definitions of data released by the General Register Office for Scotland was placed at number 75 in the listing of population quotes for settlements in Scotland mid-year 2006. Buckie lies virtually equidistant to Banff to the eastern and also Elgin to the west with both areas being around 17 miles (27 kilometres) remote whilst Keith exists 12 mi (19 kilometres) to the south by road.
