In search of pattern imprinted driveways in Leatherhead? Our pattern imprinted driveway industry experts within Leatherhead will be able to provide you with the best quotes for having driveways installed.
Driveways have been popularly concreted or gravelled for years, but gradually decorative paving methods have begun to break into the industry.
Known as pattern imprinted concrete, a design is stamped into the mould with colours added too for decoration. Any sort of design can be created, providing the ultimate choice for your home's exterior.
With design imprinted driveways you'll have the chance to mimic another surface, such as slate, granite, cobbles and also block paving. However, with your very own creative thinking you may create something that's visually stunning and eye appealing.

Source: Numbers calculated based on the search volumes in major search enginesLeatherhead is a town in Surrey, England on the right shore of the river Mole, and at the edge of the contiguous built-up area of London. The town covers a total area of around 4.84 square miles. Its regional district is Mole Valley. Records exist of the area from Anglo Saxon England. Just north-east of the midpoint of Surrey and at a junction of ancient north-- south and east-- west roads, features of the town have been a focus for transportation throughout its history. A key early spur to this was the development of the bridge over the seasonally accessible River Mole in the early medieval time period. Subsequently the Swan Hotel offered 300 years of service to horse-drawn coaches. In the late 20th century the M25 motorway was constructed close by. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 11316 individuals. The town has re-developed regularly through fluctuating financial needs and planning. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Mole Valley District Council made plans to modernise the town, with a brand-new pedestrianised high street and a large one-way system. It has a merged theatre and cinema. Leatherhead's many business premises create lunchtime demand and its eateries and theatre pull in people from around Surrey. The undulating streetscape lends itself more to warm summertime evenings. The theatre (see listed here) is a cinema and has art exhibitions. The bypass streets to the town centre close and function annually in the London-Surrey cycle classic which is ranked by the world's cycling federation. For all of your home enhancements, make certain to find respected professionals in Leatherhead to make certain of quality.

No, pattern imprinted concrete shouldn’t be slippery. Most good driveway installers will add a special anti-slip agent to the sealant before they brush it onto your driveway, so it will stop it from being slippery.
It’s important to ask a driveway company how they will seal your driveway when you get a quote from them. If an untrustworthy company seals your driveway badly, it can cause a thick and extremely slippery surface, so it’s vital that you ask any contractor what their procedure is before you engage them.
It’s also important to remember that pattern imprinted concrete isn’t a ‘non-slip’ surface – it’s just not slippery. You could still slip over on a concrete driveway, just like you could on tarmac or a block paved driveway. Also, once you’ve walked and driven over your driveway for a few months, its skid and slip resistance will increase as it weathers and builds up tiny specs of dirt on it. Pattern imprinted concrete is often used in high footfall areas in places like shops, fast food restaurants and theme parks, so if there was a significant slip risk these businesses wouldn’t use it.
You might think that you could ask your contractor not to seal the driveway to make it less slippery, but it could actually do the opposite. By sealing pattern imprinted concrete, it means that moss and algae is much less likely to grow, which can be extremely slippery to walk on if it’s left to its own devices. If moss does form on your driveway, the sealed surface is much easier to clean as you can simply pressure wash it away; this is not as easy to do on a non-sealed surface.
