Parquet flooring is a sort of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed together to produce a distinctive design across the entirety of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with each individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in bigger tiles or planks to give the same effect.
