I need around 3 square metres of flooring finished. Just cutting and laying the blocks with adhesive - no finishing required
Parquet flooring is a variety of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to make a distinctive design over the whole of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with every individual strip carefully laid, but modern parquet can be bought in bigger tiles or planks to provide the same appearance. Parquet floor is an extremely fashionable flooring product which is most effective in large rooms or hallways where the eye-catching design can be best showcased. Parquet is available in numerous different styles, the most common of which are herringbone, chevron or checkerboard. Parquet can be manufactured from an enormous range of different woods, but oak is the most popular, accompanied by mahogany, maple and cherry. Modern parquet floor may come in either solid wood or engineered wood varieties, the latter of which feature several layers of wood with a fibre board core and a top layer of the desired appearance of hardwood. Parquet floor is durable and demands little maintenance. It is, however, not fit for areas that contain lots of moisture or humidity as the wood will warp or flex under these conditions. Parquet is generally installed utilising a number of tiles which are fixed to the subfloor with an adhesive. An expert parquet flooring company will be able to suggest the most suitable wood types and patterns for your home.
The typical cost of Parquet flooring is £2000. Costs differ based on the materials and the provider selected. The upper price range can be as high as £2300. The material costs are mainly approximately £500

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is an inner London borough of Royal borough status, to the west of the centre. The borough was formed in 1965 from the former boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea. Kensington's Royal Borough status was inherited by the new borough. It covers an area of 4.68 square miles. As the smallest borough in London as well as the second smallest district in England, this urban area is amongst the most densely populated in the United Kingdom.
In 2005, the borough had more of its land covered by domestic buildings than anywhere else in England at 19 per cent, which is over half of the national average. Additionally, it had the fifth highest proportion of land covered by non-domestic buildings at 12 per cent.
The borough is immediately to the west of the City of Westminster and towards the east of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It contains significant museums and universities in Albertopolis, department stores including Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols, and embassies in Belgravia, Knightsbridge and Kensington Gardens. It's home to the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe's largest. It consists of a lot of the most expensive residential districts in London and even in the world, as well as districts with higher levels of social housing and poverty. The local authority is Kensington and Chelsea London Borough Council. The borough's motto is Quam Bonum in Unum Habitare, which can be roughly translated as 'How good to dwell in unity'.
