I need around 3 square metres of flooring finished. Just cutting and laying the blocks with adhesive - no finishing required
Parquet flooring is a kind of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed together to generate a distinctive pattern across the entirety of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with each individual strip carefully laid, but modern parquet is available in larger tiles or planks to give the same effect. Parquet floor is an exceptionally fashionable flooring product which is best suited for large rooms or hallways where the attractive pattern can be best displayed. Parquet comes in a wide variety of different styles, the most popular of which are herringbone, chevron or checkerboard. Parquet can also be manufactured from an enormous array of different woods, but oak is the most popular, followed by mahogany, maple and cherry. Modern parquet flooring comes in either solid wood or engineered wood styles, the latter of which incorporate several sheets of wood with a fibre board core and a top layer of the desired appearance of hardwood. Parquet flooring is durable and requires little maintenance. It is, however, inappropriate for areas that contain lots of moisture or humidity as the wood will warp or flex under these conditions. Parquet is generally installed by using a series of tiles that are glued to the subfloor with an adhesive. An experienced parquet floor company can suggest the most suitable wood types and styles for your home.
The typical cost of Parquet flooring is £2000. Costs differ based on the materials and the provider selected. The upper price range can be as high as £2300. The material costs are mainly approximately £500

Lambeth is a London borough in south London, England, which forms part of Inner London. Its name was recorded in 1062 as Lambehitha, translating as 'landing place for lambs', and in 1255 as Lambeth. The borough covers an overall area of roughly 10.36 square miles. Lambeth is a long, thin borough, being about three miles (4.8 km) wide and 7 miles (11 km) long. Brixton is its civic centre, and you will find other town centres.
Even though Lambeth Marsh was drained during the 18th century, it is commemorated by the street name of Lower Marsh. The borough is the home of the geographical centre of London at Frazier Street close to Lambeth North tube station. As outlined by population estimates made in the middle of 2014, Lambeth features a permanent population of about 318216 people. Despite the borough's population density, Lambeth has open spaces. They include Brockwell Park and Lido, Streatham Common, 50% of Clapham Common, West Norwood Cemetery, Archbishop's Park, Norbury Park, Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens and Ruskin and Kennington Parks.
Along and around the South Bank, a tourist area has developed around the former Greater London Council headquarters of County Hall and also the Southbank Centre and National Theatre. Also on the river is the London Eye and Shell Centre. Nearby is St Thomas' Hospital, Lambeth Palace as well as the Florence Nightingale Museum. A landmark inside the centre of the borough is the Art Deco Sunlight Laundry on Acre Lane. Nearby is Brixton, home of Lambeth Town Hall and also the Brixton Murals.
